Sending Invitations

Users are added to CxEngage by invitation to applicable tenants. Invitation acceptance is only required for users using CxEngage credentials for authentication. Users logging in using Single Sign On (SSO) aren't required to accept an invitation.

New Invitations

To send an invitation to CxEngage or a specific tenant for a new user, refer to Creating a User.

Delayed Invitations

A user can be created without sending an immediate invitation, leaving their status as Pending Invitation. Follow these steps to send the delayed invitation when ready.

  1. Access the tenant that the user was created for.
  2. Go to User Management > Users.
    • Tip: The Platform Account Status will be Pending Invite.
  3. Click on Send Invitation.
  4. Click Submit.

Clicking Submit generates an invitation email to the user from CxEngage. The user clicks the link in the email and is taken to a page to activate their account, set their personal password for CxEngage, and confirm their user details.

The email notification that CxEngage sends when a user is added includes a token that is valid for 24 hours. If the user waits longer than 24 hours to click the link, the token will have expired, an error is displayed, and login is denied.
